I bought all the Sizzix Surfacez colors except white which is out of stock. Metallic rose gold is my favorite color. I wish I had bought more before the price tripled. I bought it primarily for use with embossing folders as I'm not interested in sewing it. Before embossing, I moisten the back with a normal embossing folder and a Sizzix and WOW 3-D embossing folder. I was impressed with the impact of the regular embossing folder but completely blown away by the deep impact of the Sizzix 3-D embossing folder. Once Surfacez dries, the embossing becomes permanent. Surfacez is hard and smooth when unfolded, but cuts easily. It can be washed or wetted and wrinkled. It can be sewn, glued, etc. It's also easy to trim based on YouTube videos I've seen. It reminds me of Kraft-Tex paper tissue as it has the same properties of washing, folding, embossing, sewing etc. The only difference is that Kraft-Tex can be dyed like normal cotton fabric and does not have a metallic finish. I will have a lot of fun with this cloth-like paper. Just upside down. This roll is 12 inches x 4 feet. Sizzix releases 6 inches by 4 feet, but the MSRP is $9.99. I hope they don't drop the larger 12" but then charge almost as much as the 12" for only half the size. I'd say if you can get that 12 inch size you can get it now if it's out of stock.
