Thus, the condensing steam wets the dry and thirsty chipboard, which immediately absorbs moisture from the air and its surface. Water causes cheap chipboard to warp, crumble, warp, and otherwise degrade. Cheap plywood, as thin as a ribbon, fails. The connection to the wall or sink fails because the bracket falls apart.
