The idiots I bought my house from (cheap rib buckets) didn't secure the dishwasher properly. I have granite countertops, and instead of attaching the sides to the wood cabinets, the ribbed nerds put a dab of silicone sealant on the underside of the granite and "screwed" the top bracket onto it. Who would have thought someone could be that stupid? And now, 3 years later, my dishwasher "fell out" because constant use essentially "knocked" the screws out of the sealant. Having no side brackets and not knowing how to mount the dishwasher, I found this granite countertop kit to be the best solution I've researched. After removing the sealer from the underside and cleaning the granite with acetone and then rubbing alcohol and waiting for it to dry, I attached the original base cabinet brackets to the top of the dishwasher and used this kit as instructed and *voila* task solved. So far a great solution - so far 5 stars. I have a WARNING for anyone buying this - make sure you line everything up correctly and be very patient when positioning the dishwasher BEFORE sticking the adhesive side to the countertop. I was impatient and my setup was wrong. Other than that, it's an elegant solution to a simple problem. June 19, 21: One of the fasteners fell off the adhesive, and it fell off. It's on the rough underside of the granite and I thought it was meant to stick together. It's not like this. Spring. We must look for another solution. 🤷🏽‍♂️
