The two inverted "U" styles work best. As a rule, they are too big (and 3 times more expensive). The one I've used in the past was nearly 3ft tall. It works with a small subset of the styles I own. Fortunately, I have more compatible styles than anyone. Plastic hangers and felt hangers with trouser bars work well. Felt shirt hangers and wooden hangers with closed trouser bars only work if you use them hanging. This doesn't work well with wooden hangers with the flybar down. Too big to hang and too wide to stack (technically they could be stacked but they don't fit. Wooden women's suit hangers pole down would probably suffice.), I'm happy with the size, price and functionality. .
