I bought these headlights as the high beam for my 2005 Honda Civic. I already have a Hikari low beam and I really like these headlights as well as my old model low beam. These headlights are very bright and distribute the light very well even in my reflector housings. These headlights can also be adjusted so that the LED chips are perfectly aligned horizontally, so they shine efficiently without dazzling other drivers. The light color is also very nice. In my opinion, it's as close to pure white as you can get. The light does not appear blue like some other LED headlights, but appears pure white to me. The only reason I didn't give these headlights 5 stars is because the installation was a nightmare! These headlights have a bi-directional connector with a latch on each side as the LEDs need the correct polarity to work. This is a cool idea as you can insert the connector either way to get the correct polarity. However, the extra tab on the other side of the connector prevented me from connecting it to my car's wiring harness. I had to cut an extra locking tab to make the fork fit. Nothing bad, but the difficulties didn't end there. The next problem I have is that the connector is VERY tight. You'd think that would be nice, but it makes it almost impossible to plug in. It took me an hour to install these headlights because it was very difficult for me to connect them. I have strong arms and I could hardly connect these headlights. I don't know if these headlights are always that difficult to connect or if it's the connectors on my car's wiring harness, but either way it's totally unacceptable. The plugs are a perfect match for stock bulbs so there is no reason they shouldn't fit these headlights. But looking at the positives, I don't have to worry about those headlights going out while driving as there's no way I could turn those lights off even if I wanted to. Another great thing about Hikari is that they stand behind. your products. One of my low beam headlights failed a year after purchase so I emailed Hikari with the problem and they apologized and immediately sent me a new set of headlights free of charge. I received my replacement headlights within a day or two. In my experience, the customer service from this company is outstanding!
