Soft, beautiful, but not like it used to be

This duvet is incredibly soft; However, it's not as warm as Solaron's in the 1990s. It's also lighter (not as heavy) than old-school two-ply mink blankets. We ordered a large size but it doesn't cover the front or sides of the mattress (see photo). The blanket came in a vacuum pack so when pulled out of the box it was badly crumpled; However, once you've washed your duvet, wrinkles are no longer an issue. The duvet comes with a zippered storage bag. Good blanket but not like it used to be.
