I take the bus to work downtown and like to muffle the sounds of conversations, the bus and other city noises. I also enjoy listening to music and audio books to cheer me up and keep my mind busy. In-ear headphones are uncomfortable and tend to fall out of my small ears. Over-ear headphones have better cushioning and sound quality, but are bulkier and harder to carry and store. These over-ear headphones are pretty muted, so I don't get so annoyed by ambient noise and offer acceptable sound quality for my music and audiobooks, especially for the price! They're great for eavesdropping on phone conversations, but I've had no success with the mic on these phones - I'm not sure there is one - so I just bring the phone to my mouth to speak. I love their looks – the muted gray doesn't draw too much attention, but the subtle purple piping on the inside of the headband and earcups makes me happy looking at them. They also fit better around my neck when I'm not wearing them over my ears and take up less room in my locker or travel bag. I appreciate the moderate price. I believe people can pay whatever they want for a product that suits their needs, and I'd rather pay less.
