We bought these pajamas for our daughter for an 18 month winter in Idaho. When I change her diaper in the morning, her skin doesn't feel cold like in thin pajamas. Although one of the pajamas shrunk more in the dryer, it somehow worked since I bought them large anyway. So now she has one that suits her length better and one when she's tall, but both still fit well enough to wear for a week. Most of the softness remains after many many washes (these are her only 2 pajamas) except at the knees. Also very glad they are not super tight and really fit our fat girl. The only complaint is that the knees are badly worn from crawling and I only leave them on her at night and for an hour or two in the morning.
