Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Effortless Food Prep with Shenzhen Knives Ceramic Peeler by Lauren Negron

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great idea, poorly designed

While the idea of a ceramic knife is definitely good for keeping it sharp, the end result is that this knife wastes too much fruit or veg because the gap between the skins on the tool is too big. Thus, the shell is too thick and too much is wasted. The idea of a peeler is to remove as little as possible, revealing the fresh surface underneath. Unfortunately, the angle and thickness of this peeler basically pierces through a fruit or veg instead of peeling them like a knife. This creates excessive drag, making peel resistance heavy instead of gliding easily across the surface. The bottom line is, if you don't like throwing away a lot of fruit or veg, you can look for a knife with an improved design and a much smaller skin. break, and this produces a much thinner shell. If Shenzhen can redesign this cleaner to reduce the gap and make the shell thinner, reducing waste and allowing the cleaner to slide more easily across the surface, it might be worth revisiting. Until then, you might want to look into another cleaning machine for this purpose, such as the Kyocera Y Peeler. Note that I'm giving it 3 stars because while it's not a perfect peeling machine, it does peel fruit and veggies. In fact, it might work better with slightly thicker fruits or veggies than thinner ones. With fruit and vegetables with a thin surface, this peeler creates too much waste. The thin light skin is what I was looking for when I bought this knife, but that's not what I got. Also, I read many of the comments Shenzhen left on other reviewers' posts. While it's great that they are so quick to help customers who are having issues with this air purifier, I don't think this product is faulty. In fact, I think it's misdesigned. If you return a knife, you will most likely receive another of the same knife with the same problems. To fully solve this problem, Shenzhen needs to bring this product back to the drawing board and increase the distance between the shells to create much thinner shells.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • The list will be long.
