This camera does the job

I ordered this camera for the sole purpose of using it in black and white photography courses. And so far I've been able to do everything with this camera. The lens that comes with the camera is a great entry-level lens. They have a 35mm setting to get pretty good wide-angle shots and you can zoom in to 70mm anywhere. very versatile lens! Some people think of it as a "beginner" camera and while it's a great camera to learn from, even my photography teacher, who has been photographing for over 35 years, still owns and loves one of these cameras. The body isn't metal like many previous Nikon models, but that doesn't mean this camera won't last a good 40 years with proper care. but i have a few concerns. My first problem was that the lens moves the focus drum up a bit. since it is not 100% tight. I'm not sure if all lenses are like this or if it's because this nikkor lens might be cheaper than other nikon/nikkor lenses. It's not really a big deal but I decided to exchange it and the next one I got was the same. Also, for a night photography assignment, I decided to shoot without a tripod and use 3200 ISO film instead. My instructor said 3200 would be fine for me because it's very light sensitive. While hovering, I found that I could only shoot at f3.5 and a shutter speed of 30/100! and I set the ISO of the camera to 3200. I don't know if this is normal or not. And finally, one thing that was confusing about purchasing this camera from Amazon was their very confusing product description stating that these cameras are "Refurbished" but when you look at the sellers and their listings they all come out as new listed. My camera turned out to be new, but I don't think that's for sure.
