NOT AS DESCRIBED - NOT BLOCKED

I'm so upset! It's a great little box of a much-needed palette, but the black locking mechanism won't lock. It fits very loosely on the edge of the lid. When you carry the box by the handle, it opens more than 1/4 inch. I'm sure if you put something heavy in it, like paint bottles, the latch won't hold and everything will fly out. This issue was not listed in the box description when purchased. Is there a way to get the correct lock?
