Ok to be honest I had no idea if this would work in my aquarium filter or not. I got the idea that the brand name filter was getting too expensive and replaced it as often as it should cost a fortune. When it arrived I was amazed at how much you sent! It was great when I also realized that I just had to cut off some big pads and put them in the filter. I pointed the white side towards the aquarium and the amount of things it picks up is amazing. Considering how much you're getting and how much money it costs, it's inexpensive and really easy to change filter media frequently. My water is clear and nothing has happened to my fish. This is the way to go because you can crop it to whatever filter size you have on hand!
