The New Balance 574 was a great evening shoe, nothing more! I put a photo of my classic burgundy New Balance 574 right (10 years old!) in the box and sent it back straight away. Note the thick suede on the shoe on the right, and the new shoe is made of thin faux suede, is matte in color and looks like it was nicked from a bowling alley. Look at the picture on the left and you can visually see that it is sooooo small! When my old 574s were new they looked so pretty I could wear them to a casual date. The new 574s look like cheap fakes with poor fit, color and style. 10 years ago I bought 574 originals for $90 and it was a great deal. I got the new 574s from Revain and for half that price and they were so uncomfortable that if someone gave me them for free I wouldn't wear them. Complete garbage! Come back!
