Be very, very careful with this lotion.

Be very, very careful with this lotion. I started using it at the beginning of the summer and as a moisturizer it's good. This summer, however, my skin burned more than ever — no matter what sunscreen I wore, or how often I applied it, or how little time I spent in the sun, I burned. Couldn't figure out why. I tried three different brands of sunscreen, wore long sleeves and jeans, and even cut down on my outdoor activities. It never occurred to me that this lotion could be the cause of the problem until I happened upon the words "Sun Alert" on the back label (you can see this if you look at the picture on the Enlarge the label, which I did not do before purchasing). That). It appears to increase sun sensitivity for up to a week after use. Improved Alpha Hydroxy Acids. My own fault, I just think body lotion is a pretty "safe" product - like shampoo or deodorant, I don't eat it or put it on my eyes so I'm usually pretty confident I can get away with it. without reading the security warnings. Not so with this lotion. I shudder to think how much damage I've done to my skin in just a few months of use. No amount of mitigation can compensate for the damaging effects of UV, so the moisturizing aspect is a pretty poor compromise for increased sun sensitivity.
