I will talk in a few paragraphs about the actual product that I received. I didn't look at the picture or the text when I bought this. I thought the headline/product name was enough: Alba Botanica: Natural Even Advanced Seaweed Enzyme Scrub, 4 oz (3 Packs). I ordered it before; I just used the "Reorder" feature. When it arrived it was a different product and packaging. "Seaweed" is nowhere to be seen (although, to be honest, I couldn't find it in the fine print on the back label of either product). It's called "Even and Bright" and has an "alpine complex". TUBE has a completely different shape, which is probably the strangest artifact of this new presentation. There are odd rough fingers on the lid; You need to twist the top for the scrub to appear. And to close it, you have to twist it tightly until it clicks, otherwise the scrub will flow out through a small hole. It's difficult with wet hands. If you keep it upright, upside down in a plastic lid, you'll have to deal with it every time. I just put mine on the shelf in the shower. Very bad packaging design in my opinion. Also: weird dirty fingers: what the hell? By the way, in the list on the right: NO REFUND. No, I didn't look either. When I was taking screenshots today, I saw that the seller put the line OLD PACKAGING at the top of the tube picture. I don't know if it was there when I bought it. Why these pictures at all? This is not the item currently on sale. AND THE SELLER HAS NOT CHANGED THE TITLE OF THE AD. It still says "algae"; Nothing is said about Even and Bright. The UPC for both products, old and new, is the same. I waited to write this until I tried this new product and the product itself got 5 stars. It's a gentle scrub, smooth and grainy enough for me. And I found the new scent quite pleasant. almost a bit like cedar or sandalwood. But the packaging is poorly thought out. Overall rating: product, 5 stars. packaging, 1 star. So 3 star rating. Seller: negligent, negligent, misleading, 1 star. Alba Botanica: I have always loved their products, cruelty free and very high quality. But the parent company, Hain Celestial, did a reformulation/redesign a few years ago with the Queen Helene Mint Julep Scrub. They also brighten up their packaging color palette; it's more "cartoon bright" now than what I've always thought of as pretty stylish muted colors. But I don't name them because of the colors. Marketing! Conclusion, yes, finally: I love the product, but have reservations about Alba Botanica and will never "buy again" without having read all the ads. Twice. ADDENDUM: I went to the AB page and sent a very annoyed email. They sent coupons to my home address (and get an email about it). To be honest I'm willing to keep going until the next product I rely on and love is changed for some reason. i have a list
