Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits as expected. The hood is not detachable. Lightweight NOT for super cold.

For an honest review click here. First, I always try to let readers know if an item matches the picture and description. To me these photos look like he has a detachable hood. It is not . So keep that in mind. I don't like hoods and this one won't come off. It's not very thick either. I'd say it's great for one layer, but you'll need a layer for sub-temp weather outdoors. That said, it's still a great jacket if you don't mind a hood. BENEFITS This is a 100% polyester, windproof, waterproof, breathable fabric jacket. It has a practical zipper on the front and on the pockets. The hood is adjustable, which means you can pull it up to wear it closer to your face for warmth. It has a light cotton fill and that's why I said you might need a few layers. The nice thing is that the jacket is spacious and has room for layers. My favorite part is the adjustable Velcro cuffs, the stretchy glove with thumbholes to keep you warm. I also like the drawstring adjustable hem for a better fit when you need it. This is a very well thought out jacket with a well thought out design. It includes 2 zipped hand pockets, 1 ID card pocket, 2 zipped chest pockets for phone and keys and 1 inner mesh pocket with 1 security pocket. Zippered underarm vents for quick cooling and maximum ventilation are a nice touch. The sizes were normal and corresponded to the description. I have a large one and weigh 165 pounds. it has space but is not too big. I can recommend this jacket if you don't mind the hood! I have a black one and it's a great traditional black.
