Pleasantly surprised

I have a GoPro Session 4 and needed a backup for my trip. I researched all the options on the market and settled on this camera. It's 4k: better resolution than my GPS4. The video quality is excellent. It looks like I'm watching professionally shot footage. The sound is great too. I'm not a professional so I can't confirm "real" sound quality, but the sound is what you would expect from your home devices such as a smartphone or camcorder. To study the menu, you need to do a little work. I believe half an hour of study time will help you make good use of the functions as a home video and still camera. Give yourself some random shots of your legs or knees and 1 to 5 second video of the floor. You'll get the hang of it. It also came with a great waterproof case with lots of accessories (GoPro standard). You can mount it on your steering wheel, wrist, dashboard, etc. It also comes with 2 batteries that charge fairly quickly and last around 45 minutes each under heavy use. They're tiny so don't take up much space, and they're also inexpensive (so buy extra ones and charge them up the night before your event or vacation). The camera connects to your phone via its own app, so you can use the camera's full-color LCD to see what you're capturing or view it directly on your phone. The app also makes it easy to view the contents of your camera's micro SD card and delete or upload them to your camera roll/gallery on your phone. I was very impressed with how well this camera works with GPS4. It was also nice to have an inexpensive backup of my GPS4. I felt more comfortable fitting this thing to a moving vehicle due to its low potential replacement cost. I have 2 now.
