Absolutely beautiful and I love these shelves but there are a few things to look out for and in my opinion they don't detract from how awesome they are, but they should be aware when considering a purchase, and also be aware that you are not making the same mistakes we made installing it! So we've had a few setbacks, but we still give this one 5 stars. If you enjoy doing chores, the instructions may confuse you. or maybe we're just not the smartest, I'm not sure! The instructions were extremely easy and I think 5 steps seemed easy enough. But it says that you can hammer or screw in dowels. We adopted all along and stuffed them along with nickel sized holes in our walls, and needless to say the first attempt at installation didn't work. My stepfather explained that we should just hammer them into the wall with a hammer and screw them all the way in. He came with his own dowels as we had damaged ours and simply moved the placement of the new dowels and screws between the holes already made and essentially fixed them in the same place so they cover the holes we made. You can see the hole under the bottom shelf made on our first try. It was uncomfortable. I wish they would point that out, but maybe we should have known, I'm not sure! Finally, the photos posted on the promotional site gave the impression that a tiny spirit level was included, when in fact it wasn't. It's ok but we didn't have our own so the top shelf is a bit crooked. I didn't care if I could straighten it in the future, but now I felt like enough holes had already been drilled in the wall. I really love her! This is a quality blade and if we hadn't made that mistake I think everything would have gone very well. They look great and seem pretty sturdy. I don't know if they will hold 40lbs like they say I probably won't because they make an easy concession but they are still great! I wanted to include some photos of the wood finishes just in case it's important for those researching whether these shelves are for you. He's rather rustic and rude. They will be difficult to erase. I probably wish they were a little smoother but overall I'm still very happy with the product and would order again. Also the color is a bit different between shelves but I think it's just the texture of the wood pieces we received. Just wanted to mention if it matters to someone thinking of buying them!
