After tethering my S10e to the bike, I charged it up and was greeted with a beep warning that my port was wet or dirty and turn the switch turn it off immediately to avoid damaging your phone. never seen before I usually use wireless chargers and wireless headsets, so I thought this might be a good solution for a phone that's for cycling and other outdoor uses. I had no reason to remove them as I had plugged the holes. A nice bonus is that the headphone jack includes a memory/SIM eject pin that is otherwise not found when needed.
