The cables I received are not Category 8. They only allowed 100Mbps data transfer, while the Cat-5e should easily replace them with 1Gbps. Cat-8 is said to be able to do 40 Gb/s, so they only transmit 0.25% of what they are supposed to allow. Their connection was causing a lot of disruption to my home network so they had to be returned.
