Instead of looking like I just got out of bed for a meeting, I put this on my beard and can comb it to keep it from falling out in all directions . After daily use a few weeks ago, I noticed that my facial hair is much easier to comb and doesn't look as coarse. After the shower, I make sure my beard is completely dry before applying the product. I have a beard comb that I use with this balm to brush out and comb my beard. With this balm, a little goes a long way, but I am sure that it will work not only on the outer hair, but also on the hidden ones. As for smell, it has a pleasant, light, clean aroma. Nothing too strong or powerful, especially since it's right under my nose, sometimes I don't feel it. Easily rinses off hands and showers.
