Review on πŸ• 10lb Bag of Royal Canin Dachshund Adult Breed-Specific Dry Dog Food: Enhanced for Optimal Dachshund Health by Julie Rodriguez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you have a dachshund and money, this is the only food to consider.

That's all I'm going to feed my dog. That's all he's ever eaten. Every time we go to the vet he gets high marks for how good he is, coat, teeth, skin, muscle health etc. They always ask what you feed him, I tell them Royal Canin Dachshund and they say that explains why he is like this in such great health. Is it a little more expensive than I would like? Yes, but that's about 50 cents a day (slightly more), which is essentially a soda that I shouldn't be drinking anyway. Heck, he's 9 years old and still walks and plays like a puppy. I put it down to the food Edit: 10/22/2014 Two months ago our dog tried to jump on me, fell and ruptured the disc. The vet said give him a month and we'll see if he needs surgery or not. Well, two months have passed and little do you know that a dog has ever been hurt. He's definitely not as strong as he used to be, but the vet said he'll never go up or down stairs again (to my chagrin he does, but he's fast and I can't catch him sooner) and will never be able to jump on furniture again (well, he can, he shouldn't, and it's driving me nuts, but he can). While I can't say with certainty that feeding this food may or may not have resulted in an "unexpected recovery" his entire life, I will always believe it was this food that caused him to turn 90 % recovered. where he was before the injury. The vet said he would be thrilled if he was 75% healed from his injury and we are well past that. Bottom Line: If you own a Dachshund and can afford it or can eliminate soda pop from your life, this is what you need to buy for your dog.
