Good product to cover up a stained and damaged cupboard

I had a very difficult time finding a matching color and pattern for our cupboards. This book came closest to me. You can see in the two photos that the Aristokraft cabinet was a little more orange or gold than the DC Fix beech color. But it's really close enough. I am posting here two photos of the same cabinet in the bathroom. This was the worst damage we have ever had to any of the cabinets. Mostly from leaking bottles. The case is made from molded chipboard and then covered with a very thin piece of paper-coated foil that doesn't seem to take any less time to get wet. When the closet floor gets wet, it's not just the paper that gets soiled; this also caused some surface roughness. I ended up removing all the paper I could and then tried to sand it down, but some of the chipboard started to crumble. So I went ahead and covered it with DC Fix paper using a template I made out of paper glued together and a razor blade. I trimmed the corners but left the back with a slight overhang. It doesn't look good from the back, but it looks better than the unevenly soiled closet floor. I don't know what the photos will look like, but there are noticeable bumps, especially on the left side of the photo. This is not due to the DC Fix foil, but to the base cabinet. Another photo shows a box that also had to be colored. The drawer was easier to put down than the bottom of the closet due to its size. I made all the closets we have because we are moving. A cabinet base took about 1-1/2 hours, maybe 2 hours. But the results are better than before. Adhesion is good but not great in areas where the case has been exposed to soap or baby oil. So, I think I might have to grab some spray glue and try it below. The hardest part of trying to fit them into the space was the corners. It was hard to cut perfectly. Again, not necessarily the film's fault. The cabinets and drawers had some variation in shape and I trimmed them down to the excess and then trimmed the excess off after polishing (the back of the curved peeler tip worked well. There were some waves after installing this cabinet that didn't want to sink All DC Film Fix was bubbly and I basically tried to get the air out to the brim, but for many it was easier to get it out through the little razor blade hole, which I peeled and reinstalled the paper many times to get it right make but it turned out to be harder than i thought the remaining waves were thin and kinda sorted overnight i think they all look amazing now compared to what they were arrived early adhesion in the dirty corner is not good - I would need some extra glue I think I can take another roll of the same sheet to e s with a second layer to try to hide the imperfections. I like both the pattern and the material. Plastic seems less permeable than paper ha, that was originally in the closet. If you use this, make sure you've cleaned everything of sand and grains of salt or sugar crystals. Imperfections are made worse in the final install, and you don't have to keep undoing a DC sticky patch after you've pasted it perfectly. I really like this product. I wish I didn't have to use it - or rather, I wish I had ordered it years ago, before cabinets went bad. through? It is opaque and should be opaque.)
