This wasn't exactly what I was looking for because: 1. Records only in WAV format. I don't know if this is just a feature of the IPOD OS, but 1.5GB is used for two hours of recording (too much for me)2. It consumes a full IPOD battery in less than 2.5 hours, and the worst thing is that this device doesn't have the ability to connect a charger to the IPOD at the same time.3. It has to be very (if I say very, very) close to the source to get a good shot.4. When the device is connected to the iPod, you need to be very careful because it is too easy to disconnect. In other words, you need a better design to solve the problem of power consumption, recording sensitivity/format and "tethering" to the IPOD.
