I wanted to buy a pair of 400 thread count cotton satin sheets (along with other linens) for my second (cotton) anniversary. My favorite set of sheets from Target, about 8 years old, is Satin 400tc (sheets pictured). New sheets, blue, washed before use. They were soft and shiny out of the box, but came out of my anti-crease dryer as wrinkled as a t-shirt in a teenage hamper. The sheets are very rough and if you look closely at the difference between the petals and the blue ones you can see a big difference in threading and weaving. The sheets had a lot of small threads after washing and when I tried to put the sheets on top of my 10 inch memory foam mattress I had to bend the corner of the mattress and the sheets stretched too much compared to my Target sheets. Considering I didn't really save much money by purchasing it, I'll be returning them after a trip to the aforementioned store to personally purchase better sheets.
