Super soft, fasteners are strong, everything fits, just the size didn't fit. We used the chart in the photos as described which should have placed us about an inch around the rib cage on Wednesday. Not so much when we put it on our terrier. I had to pull hard to close the latches and our poor dog wouldn't budge. I tried to return the media but the "free return" was only for delivery to a UPS branch, the nearest UPS branch is 30 minutes away, I have to go in the opposite direction. So I ordered the large one anyway, contacted Amazon customer service and they were kind enough to refund me for the undersized item. Hopefully the big one isn't too big and hangs down on her. :(
