Nice pic. Accumulator. Wearable tips and tricks here.

I have just purchased two Digital Prism ATSC-710 7 inch portable LCD TVs with built in ATSC/NTSC tuner (black). About ten days ago they were listed for $36 .xx. With shipping, they cost just under $50 each. for the price and the fact that it has a rechargeable (board) battery. Cosmetically, this is a very nice device. The picture when you can pick up a signal is impressive. spotty at best. Any movement affects the reception of digital signals. Those who complain just don't get it. Main purpose I bought them for - emergency/storm/blackout. Here are some workarounds to get a good signal. Start the channel search with the supplied antennas or larger antennas. Fix the desired channels in the database. You may need to go outside. After the database is set up, you can navigate to your favorite channel. Next time you may need to adjust the antennas or move the device, but if there is a signal your channel will play. I also found good reception while driving in the car IF I HAVE THE RIGHT DIRECTION. If you turn around, you will need to reconfigure the antennas. I'm just saying there's nothing you can do. Here's how I set it up for home use. I have internet through a cable provider but a satellite for television. I was told (?), that the cable company could only send a minimal signal. So I got some of their basic cable packages along with my internet signal. With a simple cable splitter I signaled both my modem and the TV. The modem still works fine and then I ran the setup on the TV. Network channels on TV show about 50. I've been looking for locals mainly during storms when bad weather disrupts the satellite signal. I went even further. I have a small 700w inverter connected to a lawnmower battery. When the power goes out, I unplug the power strip that powers the modem, TV, and wireless router and run it from the inverter. TV, internet in case of power failure. Bust? May be. I live in North Tornado Alley, Iowa (and in a bootloader) and I take it seriously. I haven't tested the battery life, but the manual says it lasts for two hours. As I said the main reason I chose this device was the price when I saw it because I wanted two. One for at home and one for when I have to go out. Incidentally, the vehicle power cable is included in the scope of delivery. Great little TV with great picture if you have a good signal or are using cable/satellite for your channel.
