Bought my second dozen of these gloves after the first dozen was used up through hard work last year. The original abrasion rating of these gloves was a 5, the new version is a 4. I still have 2 pairs of the old version and you can feel the difference in the rating from 5 to 4 and I'm not sure why the ABR rating would be downgraded make them new and improved when in fact they last less than the previous version?! It does not make sense. The ABR 5 version can pack a punch, even in wet or sweaty conditions you can wipe your brow with the top of the fabric and still rely on palm and finger grip where you need it. I would highly recommend these gloves to anyone who wants to keep their hands free from minor cuts, scrapes, blisters and minor punctures. Since using them I have noticed that these sores on my hands have decreased significantly. They are very easy to put on and take off, which makes using them even more comfortable. I just wish they were a little more water resistant in the finger and palm areas. If you use the gloves to grab something wet it will seep through the rubber material and seep into the glove, the same goes for oil or grease. Would have liked a little more resistance with liquids. These are great gloves and I'm upset at the loss of the ABR level and also that the price keeps going up.
