Now I'm an armed guard who spends hours roaming the concrete and gravel. I'm officially "old" now too. And a diabetic. I thought socks were socks and bought them in a trash can. The socks turned out very chic. This set, when you look at it, has several areas that are intertwined in different ways. Where my feet and ankles flap is a bulging shin guard. Fingertips feel like spandex. The bottoms have an interesting, almost felt-like weave. These things are *expensive*. I assumed they wouldn't last. That was two years ago, the "elasticity" is still great, even after washing several times a week (12 hour shifts) the color still holds. and i'm impressed. Do you know what kind of dents are left on the legs of socks? These calf-length models almost completely stop that. My feet and legs have almost stopped hurting. I have large calves and the size I ordered didn't squeeze them. I will order them again very soon; if you value being able to do without pressure points, blisters or the consequences of diabetes. you will too!
