This bag fits my needs perfectly!) and the open compartment in the center is a handy place to keep my phone, keys, and whatever small stow items I can accumulate through errands. Other reviewers noted that the central branch wouldn't close if there was anything in it. That's true, but not a problem for me. I think the problem is the small size of the magnet clasps - they won't fit if there is something in the middle compartment, which distorts the position of the magnets. Two separate zippered compartments are great for everything else (spare batteries and phone charger, personal items like hand lotion and lip gloss, small notebook, pen, etc.). Since I don't usually take much with me, there is enough space in this bag for my nee ds. I love the long, adjustable strap as I often go from crossbody to a must-have. The only thing I want to warn is to carefully study the location of the front pocket. The first bag I received had a bag that was obviously crooked. I sent it back for an exchange and the new one is perfect. I got compliments on the bag and I love it!
