Keys to a good flameless candle: Battery life

Ever since I caught melting crayons in the sun at my parents' picnic table at 11 with a magnifying glass in a metal measuring cup hanging from a tree. Table - only to poke a small flame with my finger which I assumed was smoke - I wasn't a fan of real flames. However, I am a fan of the candle atmosphere. As flameless candles came along, I started hoarding them one by one to place on mantels, bookshelves, etc. Over the years I have found that with flameless candles you get what you pay for. Many smaller brands will drain batteries, while the best brands with a 5 or 6 hour timer can last around two months with daily use. This is my first purchase of Candle Impressions which is meant to last 500 hours. battery pack. If the claim is upheld, it performs similarly to Inglow at a lower cost. I prefer this flameless timer candle, which is always harder to find than the kind that comes with remote controls. If you buy one that works with a remote, they'll turn on and off at the same time if you don't point the remote that way (so some of them will turn back on if you try to turn them all off). With the timed variety there's also less to lose or break, and no need to have a remote lying around to spoil the look you want. Another problem with remote controlled flameless candles is that remote controls can interact with many brands. It's pretty weird - until you get bored! - to remember which remote control comes with which kit and/or to have the wrong remote control for another product. If these candles run out of batteries like the others I will update this review. For now though, I think it's a great alternative to the more expensive Inglow (the wax isn't that heavy, but other than that they look the same in every way). The only problem some people might have is that they are a bit yellow. -Orange. I was most concerned about the battery life and reliability, not the color of the LED. However, if you are looking for a brighter, whiter light, Candle Impressions/Inglow may not be the best choice. On the other hand, softer light can be beneficial as it creates a more subdued atmosphere.
