These are 60px/m LED strips (estimating 300px for 5m can be a bit confusing). This density is a good compromise between even light distribution and strip cost per length. Higher density bands like 144/m aren't really needed if you have a good diffuser around the band. The strip is not self-draining but contains a clear rubber protective coating. This may be fine for outdoor use, but be aware that this coating can be difficult to remove with a scalpel if you're trying to cut the strip short and solder to the pads at the end of each connection. Uncoated tape may be preferable in this case, and this company has several uncoated products as well. My strip was well wound on a plastic spool and pre-wired to connect to standard 5V power supplies. And since WS2812B is a "NeoPixel" standard, you can use this strip with Adafruit's standard libraries in Arduino with 5 -V logic control. In the attached photos, you can see that I used an Arduino Nano wired in parallel to several sections of this strip to create a Saturn V rocket display using the standard libraries.
