I have a 12 foot by 20 foot shelter that is light weight metal and wanted to put in some ceiling lights. Trouble is, you are not supposed to put in anything over 15 pounds in the ceiling. So, when these lights became available, I decided to order them and try them. Here is what i found:1. The lights put out 300 lumens of warm white light which is perfect for the lighting I was after. They have a good spread which also works out well.2. The lights are designed to go into a circular hole in the ground, so I just duplicated that to create a mounting surface in the ceiling from plastic. Since the lights are very light, this works out perfectly. Each light only weighs a half pound, so even with mounts and low voltage wiring, I am way under the limits for the shelter.3. The low voltage wiring is very easy to do and does not require an electrician or a permit to install.I am very happy with these lights, even though I am not using them as an inground light. They work well for what I wanted and I would recommend them.
