Perfect fit Exact replacement

These headlights are exactly the same as those on my 1984 Toyota Mini Cruiser. I had some leaks from some of the front position lights and upon inspection found that they were sun damaged and many of them were already cracked as they were extremely brittle. The only difference between the original headlights and the Bargman replacement #99 was the different bulb type. Old headlights where ba9s and new t10 wedge style. This proved to be a notable difference after replacing the leaky bulbs. I decided to use new LED bulbs to reduce power consumption. After ordering, I found that the bayonet lamps are directional, and the polarity of the factory installed lamps was wrong. This problem does not exist with wedge-shaped lights because you can simply change the bulb without changing the wiring of the light. I've since replaced all the old bayonet lights with newer wedges and now have LEDs all around. This had two benefits: obviously a much brighter, cleaner light with less power consumption, and another, and perhaps more important, that I accidentally blew a fuse on inspection during installation and testing. I noticed that the previous owner replaced the 20 amp fuse with a new one. 40 amp fuse, this fuse is clearly very hot and nearly melted in the fuse box! The light now works well on the 20 amp fuse with no noticeable heating and is certainly a much safer situation than what used to be an unknown fire hazard. I cannot recommend these lights enough, they come with a lens cap and lamp. However, an incandescent lamp can be replaced with a T10 wedge with 5 LEDs for a very small amount. I think I received a 20 pack for about $10 shipped from China with only a DOA. I noticed that the t10 wedges I received are a bit longer than the original lights that come with the kit, but this did not affect performance. Buy them with confidence and make your old leaky marker lights look new again. Just remember to bring a roll of putty or bitulite tape and spare screws. There is a package that is sold as a universal mounting kit. It has a roll of putty and Phillips screws. I also had a couple of screw holes that were ground, but it's easy to fix this by inserting a 1/4" dowel rod into the hole, and that fixed the problem with no further issues.
