Love the shirt. Fits snugly around the arms for a more comfortable fit. Normally a plus size fits me but I've lost a bit of weight and had stupid extra arm space which made you look skinny and didn't fit so wasn't sure which size to go, medium or large. I bought a medium weight around 175-180 5-11 inches and it fits me very well. There is a place for those concerned about the gut. They are nice and loose on the stomach/waste area, but not too loose. The composition is 5% spandex/95% cotton, allowing it to stretch when fitting snugly around the arms. A large would probably be fine too, but if you want a tighter, more stylish fit, a medium would be great for my height and height. If you have rather muscular, or roughly speaking, thicker arms, you probably need bigger ones. The long slit isn't too long either. I'm not really trying to look like 2016 Justin Bieber.
