door problem. for side tables

I have just received a Vasagle side table/side table from Revain and the door lock/magnet does not close or hold properly. any advice? The door hinge seems to close easily and part of the magnet/screws have come loose from the bottom of the shelf, it was also attached during installation. I build stuff like this all the time so the quality was questionable.
