This high density 4 component foam appears to be strong. I'm glad I bought the high density material because we used foam to replace the old foam on my kitchen chair seat cushions and I can't believe the difference in the foam and how much the old foam has changed over time of the years has deteriorated. However, the price seemed right too, so I'd recommend it. And we bought a 2 inch that was just right
