I can understand why some might be disappointed with this item. If you don't seal the vent tightly, there will be a flow of air that you can barely feel. I didn't want to attach it to the vent as people complained about it pulling or breaking the vent so I just took some double sided velcro and attached it that way and covered all the holes with window sealing tape. It made a HUGE difference. I think our dog really enjoyed the extra airflow for a cross country ride since we don't have rear vents. I also used the zip ties included in the kit to attach the hose to the car's inner roof to take the pressure off the hose/velcro. It worked great.
