Review on Panasonic SDR-H85S Standard-Definition Camcorder with 78X Zoom, 80GB HDD - Silver (Discontinued by Manufacturer) by Steve Hauck

Excellent video! It had a great sound! It's nice and compact. I would have liked it if it wasn't for the touchscreen. It has a tiny round pin about 1/2 the size of an eraser tip with up/down/left/right arrows. You have to use a nail because the finger is too big. You have to go slow and make sure you're pressing correctly or it will jump to a function you didn't want. He is VERY sensitive. For that reason alone (and believe me you would too) I sent it back. Now I'm trying to find a device with the same parameters, but with a touch screen. I also recommend getting one with flash rather than built in hard drive storage as I'm just reading where this and similar ones with built in storage have moving parts and flash doesn't. What does it all mean? Well, if you're using it for holidays, birthdays and the like you should be fine, but if you're going to be using it for hours at a time you don't want the moving parts inside to go bad. I have to reiterate how good the quality is on this and other Panasonics I've used in the past. Oh, and Revain returned it with no problem.
