I'm 5'1" and my legs get cramps under my desk at work. I had to put them on something better than a cardboard box! I wanted something inexpensive but comfortable and sturdy... This footstool is definitely what you need! It was very easy to assemble. She looks cute, not trashy... (although I don't think she looks good enough to be a permanent piece of furniture in my living room at home). ... But perfect for an office where nobody looks under my desk anyway. In other words - looks, it only looks as good as the money you spend on it. It's soft enough for my ankles and feet and stays in place - unlike a cardboard box I'd have to search for.
