The color differs slightly from the picture but still looks like the general wood color. Holds great and is easy to apply - used to touch up old furniture. I'm stuck there well since I've applied it. Someone said it looks a bit like vinyl and I can tell it does look a bit like it when you're up close, but to be realistic it's the contact paper we were talking about. In fact, everything is clearly visible from a distance. If you have an upscale home, you probably won't like it. If you're a regular, everyday person like the rest of us, this will probably work very well for you.
