Does not really replace the Sony RM-VPR1 remote I use. I used a Sony RM-VPR1 wired remote to control my Sony PXW-X70, with which the Sony wired remote worked flawlessly. I bought this remote control hoping to use it wirelessly. But this remote connected, turned on, lit, synced 2 modules and didn't control a single action. It lit up when I pressed the buttons but didn't control the Sony camera like the Sony RM-VPR1 right out of the box. So I sent it back as the product doesn't really work.
