I was delighted to order a Tribulb to replace my burnt out headlight in my garden but lo and behold the threaded sleeve is too short for my standard outdoor headlight fittings. I tried several outdoor outlets just to be sure. Dissatisfied. Poor design for outdoor headlight sockets. Pity! Update: The company was very good at getting my money back and letting me keep Tribulb. I finally found a ceramic socket extender, but when I screwed the tribulb into an installed ceramic socket extender to match my outboard beam socket, the tribulb would not work. Upon inspection, the Tribulb's plastic tip shattered its component, breaking the lamp circuit. My solution to making Tribulb suitable for outdoor spotlights was to redesign the Tribulb base by lengthening it by at least 1 inch to accommodate any fixture. Floor lamp_inside or outside. Glad I tried it but can't recommend it as an outdoor spotlight. Maybe that's enough for an interior lamp.
