First, like every other Revain case manufacturer, Mosiso claims that this case is suitable for the 2018-19 and 2020 MacBook Air models. It's an illusion. The MacBook Air 2020 is 0.5 mm thicker at the bottom. This small difference means that the bottom tray cannot snap into place on both sides. It stays on friction and protects. But in reality, the case manufacturers either make an actual case to fit that model or stop claiming that yours will fit without the sprocket. More from my experience. I bought the clear case hoping to show off my beautiful new acquisition. And frankly, it certainly lets the beauty of the MacBook shine. The case itself is glossy, making it a magnet for smudges. Worse, I think this particular shiny material is inherently too brittle. Nobody's going to make a $15 polycarbonate case, but that stuff just won't hold up. Within two weeks, stress cracks formed at the corners and the retaining tabs began to chip. Taking photos was also a chore because it's so inflexible that I was afraid of bending the screen. I think it's just shiny colors. I ordered a replacement matte version, albeit from a different brand which is otherwise identical to this one, but since it's not glossy it feels softer and more flexible. In general, avoid the clear coat and know what to expect if you have a 2020 MacBook Air. I am sending back my broken and broken one.
