The pins on the back of the belt that keep it closed in the perforation holes are made of flexible plastic that won't hold dirt when you move. In fact it was just pads on 2 metal pins that hold up very well. In my defence, they appeared to be glued on, because when one finally came loose and I realized it was just protective covers, which I assume were intended for shipping, I ripped the other off and there was something - then a sticky residue. I have updated my review to show that I love the belt and still love it as of August 2016.
Pros
- This is the real deal, solid leather, not bound, well made, good price.
Cons
- In order for this to work properly, you need to bend the pins backwards about 45 degrees or it will just come loose as you walk.
