Review on ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Corelle Stoneware Dinnerware: Superior Reactivity for Food Service Professionals by Robert Demissie

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not your everyday Corelle cookware, but quality control

Corelle is generally loved by people who want lighter-weight dishes that are harder to break and stack tightly. You can store 2 or more Corelle plates in the space normally occupied by regular crockery. But in the end you get simple dishes. This works great for caravans and even camping. But inside, they still look... well, nondescript. They are completely different. They are more like traditional porcelain stoneware and the reactive glaze is really beautiful. However, the company may have quality control issues. I have 3 perfect pieces and one with no frosting on one side. I think it's too expensive to ignore quality control. Note that these bowls cannot be stacked tightly and are heavy. They have a rough surface on the underside, like other ceramics. But that's what makes them more attractive. The only thing I don't know is their durability. I've dropped many Corelle cymbals and they haven't broken, although if one breaks it shatters into a thousand little pieces. I hope they'll be just as strong, but I'm not intentionally dropping them to find out.

Pros
  • Built to last: Double rim design for strength and durability
Cons
  • Not automatic
