Some people seem to have problems when their skin's acidity meets the baking soda in Schmidt deodorant. So it was with me. The grainy texture alone wasn't enough to irritate me, but rubbing against the chemical irritation was too much. I tried each of the three packs for several days, washing them off every night to give myself a break, but they ended up being too uncomfortable to get used to and the irritation only got worse the longer I used them. used it. Of all the major commercial deodorants I've tried over the years, this is the first time I've had a reaction. It's a shame because the odor protection was EXCELLENT. At the end of the day, my armpits smelled of NOTHING except for a faint whiff of fragrance, while other deodorants would smell like onions or chili peppers. I am so disappointed that I have 3 expensive deodorant sticks that I cannot use and I cannot return them as they have all been opened and partially used. I'm even more disappointed that it works SO WELL, but it's shoved into the farthest corner of the closet collecting dust.
