All-Metal Hanging Scales are simple and strong. I got it mainly for weighing and tweaking a fully loaded camping backpack, so I probably won't use it to its fullest. I was more interested in its sensitivity as I usually weigh things from 3lbs to 40lbs. . As you can see, it works great with that 5.5 pound tool roll on the bottom. The load cell and transducer appear sturdy enough for hand-only use, which is a nice touch even though I'm a cord from a ceiling anchor. It comes with a pin and U at the top, as well as a pair of grommets to keep it from rattling and an S hook at the load end for hanging your items or basket/bucket. It's all metal, which I like, with a blue backlit LCD. The numbers are clear as long as the device is at or above eye level; a lower setting causes the digits to disappear. Makes sense as this unit is designed to be hung, probably overhead. It even comes with expensive zinc-carbon batteries. Not sure if they're needed, but getting to the point of providing a serviceable device is a nice touch. It even comes with a calibration report, which I really appreciate, that can show Newtons as well as pounds and kg. .
