I got this for my first grader, and it's the perfect size for her. Fits all school folders and big books comfortably. I didn't like the button that holds the handles together since it gave the backpack a scrunched-up appearance, so I just trimmed it off. It seems really sturdy and hasn't gotten dirty really even though it's fabric. I'm really hoping I'll be able to wash it without it falling apart (once it does get dirty) since I want this bag to make it through a couple of years. My daughter does get compliments on it all the time.
