Even a very light weight device that fits in your hand, if stuck to some kind of vertical surface, will eventually have the adhesive fail and fall off on either the soft or hard velcro side. The velcro itself holds marvelously, so marvelously in fact, that it can easily UNDO the adhesive. But even if you never pull it off, over time, the squares just fall off of whatever they're stuck to. I suspect higher room temperatures accelerate this process.There is no excuse for this, because I've used some velcro adhesives like this that came with a cheap PC light tube product and they held FOR YEARS in a hot case AND NEVER CAME UNDONE.COMPLETE TRASH! The only squares that haven't failed for me are mounted HORIZONTALLY so GRAVITY HOLDS THINGS DOWN ON THEM. I actually do have a couple applications where I do that just to keep something from slipping around. So far, that seems to be holding. So at least these things have SOME USE. LOL
